The Express didn't stop for Walgreens!

For a while now, negotiations for Walgreens and Express Script has been ongoing- until now.  As of December 2011, Walgreens has been excluded from the Express Script  network.  Express Script is a healthcare system middleman.  By excluding Walgreens, patients have to go to participating network providers.   If Express Scripts doesn't include  Walgreens in their network, patients who rely on the convenience of having their neighborhood Walgreens, will now have to travel further to purchase  their medications.  Without Walgreens, patients will also have an increase in the prescriptions costs.  Everyone knows that Walgreens is one of the best in the business for competitive pricing.  I am sure there are many patients who are not a happy camper upon hearing this news..

Still trying to keep the interest of the patients in mind, Walgreens is offering Walgreens Prescription Savings Club!  This wonderful club grants discounts for members for an entire year!  For a small fee of $10 for a family and $5 for individuals, you can still have the convenience of Walgreens, as well as, pay an affordable price too!  Two thumbs up Walgreens for keeping your consumers first!
